Girl-band Fe-Nix comprise London-born Jade, Ayshen, Tanya and new MC addition Redd, who combine soft, soulful femininity with a fierce attitude to fill a gaping hole in the UK market for a raw, sexy and edgy girl band that seamlessly bridges the urban and dance genres.
“Girl groups & pop music in the UK go hand in hand, but when it comes to the dance/urban scene there seems to be a shortage - something that leaves plenty of room for crazy cool girl group Fe-Nix to rise.” FLAVOUR MAGAZINE
Following on from their club smashes Lady Baby and Swagga, the Fe-Nix ladies took some time out in the studio to put together their debut album and are now back and ready to take centre stage with their new single RED LIGHT - out February 27th on Genetic Records. Showcasing their trademark feisty attitude, they warn: “I’m not going to sugarcoat this for you... I’m giving you the red light”.
Already sitting on BBC Radio 1Xtra B-list, Red Light shot in at No.2 on their RnB chart. The single boasts a phenomenal remix package from Ripper (Beyonce, Usher, Rihanna), JC & LP (Street Dance soundtrack), DJ Sticky (Ms Dynamite), Illmana (BBC 1Xtra) and Splurgeboys and has received incredible specialist support, including plays from Trevor Nelson, Ronnie Herel and Ras Kwame on Radio 1.
The video for Red Light is directed by Sam Evans and focuses on a Sin City theme; featuring state of the art animation from Martyn Niman and a guest role from Lee Ryan (Blue): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4ybmGuEeyOA

Fe-nix’s debut album, Uncut Fairytales, is slated for release in Spring 2011 on Genetic Records. Working with an enviable line-up of producers - including Yogi (Professor Green), Sticky (Ms Dynamite), Sammy Jay (Booty Luv), Skillz (Big Brovaz), Kettle, Astrixx (Devlin, Griminal) and Blair - expect an upfront, sexy sound that skillfully mixes RnB flavours with pop sensibilities and club beats.
”We’ve been working really hard on the album, with some amazing producers and we’re just so excited for everyone to hear the new music. Red Light was the perfect choice for the lead single because it sums us up - we’re strong, independent ladies; we write our own music and we represent real life.’’ - Tanya, Fe-Nix.
