T.S. Monk, or Thelonious Monk Jr. is the son of the famous pianist Thelonious Monk.
Literally born into jazz, he featured with his father during the 70s, and was close with Max Roach who gave him drums lessons.
Though he lead a number of R&B and fusion experiments, he is mostly playing hardbop.
A very fine drummer, he also dedicated himself to the creation of the Thelonious Monk Institute.
