Don Nelson began his career quite young, first playing in his elder brother Ozzie's band at 16.
He eventually played with Pete Daily's Chicagoans and a number of other local Los Angeles bands.
He released his first album for Mode Records (The Wind), accompanied by Jimmy Rowles and Leroy Vinnegar, and another album Sittin' In (Too Cool TC-1085) in 1986.
Don was also a succesfull composer, screenwriter and film producer.
His nephew Rick is also famous in the music word.
