Derived from AllMusic blurb:
"Men Without Pants is a loose project from Dan "The Automator" Nakamura (Dr. Octagon, Gorillaz, Handsome Boy Modeling School) and Russell Simins (Butter 08, Little Barrie, Jon Spencer Blues Explosion). The two became friends in 1998 when Nakamura did some production work on the Blues Explosion album Acme. However, it took until 2006 for Men Without Pants to become a reality, thanks to the Japanese release of the group's self-titled debut album. The Mooney Suzuki's Sammy James, Jr. and Nick Zinner from the Yeah Yeah Yeahs were two of the guests on the diverse album, which was titled Royal Highness right up to the last minute. In early 2008, the American indie label Expansion Team Records reissued the album with a set of previously unheard bonus tracks."

The group's only album was first released on a limited promotional basis exclusively in Japan in 2006, issued as "Men Without Pants" by "Men Without Pants." It was then later released as "Naturally" by "Men Without Pants" in some territories (including the US) with a slightly different/expanded tracklisting. A version of the album currently exists on several contemporary music distribution services, titled "Men Without Pants" & credited to Dan the Automator (complete with seemingly-arbitrary "2007" release date). The tracklist & cover for this version mirror the early Japanese release.
