ABOUT
ARUN SHENOY is a GRAMMY® Award nominated composer and record producer. Based in Singapore, his versatile production style spans genres as wide as rock and funk, to jazz and world music.Arun writes and produces music released as solo productions under his own name, as well as for other bands and solo artists. He is the founder and CEO of publishing firm Arun Shenoy Music Publishing and record label Narked Records.

CAREER HIGHLIGHTS
Shenoy’s debut world fusion production titled Rumbadoodle released in 2012 secured a nomination at the 55th Annual GRAMMY® Awards alongside Larry Carlton, Dave Koz, Gerald Albright, Norman Brown, and Chris Botti, the eventual winner. The album also peaked at #4 on the ZMR Radio Airplay Charts and was #14 on ZMRs Top 100 Airplay Charts for 2013. “Bliss”, Shenoyʼs follow up single from his Indian World Fusion project was launched by the Recording Academy via a Worldwide Exclusive First Look at GRAMMY.com in 2013. This project is widely regarded as the follow up to the more Spanish Flamenco inspired Rumbadoodle and Shenoy has announced plans for a possible full album in the future.

Shenoy has been featured by Zen Magazine in the best dressed couples list at the 56th Annual GRAMMY® Award red carpet arrivals in 2014 alongside Wiz Khalifa, Robin Thicke and Pharrell Williams.

Shenoy has also collaborated with American producer Matthew Shell on a jazz instrumental single titled “Genesis“ in 2013.

CURRENT PROJECTS
Soul’d the band is trio of Arun Shenoy on guitar, acclaimed Indian flautist Ravichandra Kulur, and groove master Duke Purisima on bass. The artists merge their diverse influences into a high-energy contemporary instrumental sound they call “Bansuri Funk”, referring to their innovative crossover style of Smooth Jazz and Funk combined with the usage of the traditional Indian bamboo flute, the Bansuri. The band released their first single on Sept 05, 2014 as a self-titled debut and has announced plans for a full length follow up album.

Sridhar & Arun Shenoy is a musical collaboration with Berlin based producer Sridhar. The first single from the alternative rock project titled “Make up Your Mind or Leave It Behind” was released on May 07, 2014 and featured Lonnie Park on guest lead vocals. The follow up single titled “Illusion” was released on August 05, 2014.
