A long time friend of Albert Ayler, Charles Tyler is one of the unfairly forgotten soldiers of the jazz history.
Baritonist, he played quite a bit with Ayler, ran a few gigs with Cecil Taylor and other cats of the free era, and recorded his own sessions for ESP and Sonet.
