kacapi (Family of Sundanese string zithers)

Description

There are two kinds, boat shaped "mother" and "child" ones, originally made of a single piece of wood and descended from the kacapi pantun as used in epic story. And a flat box-zither made of wood used from the 1950's and in experimental music.
