Ruthless Records (Compton, LA hip-hop)

Ruthless Records is an American Independent record label founded by Eric "Eazy-E" Wright and Jerry Heller in Compton, California on March 3, 1987. All of the Ruthless trademarks have been owned by Comptown Records, Inc. since 1987. Several artists and groups on the label such as N.W.A, Eazy-E, MC Ren, The D.O.C., Michel'le, and Bone Thugs-n-Harmony have released RIAA certified albums. At its peak, at the time of Eazy-E's death and Heller's departure, Ruthless was making over US$10 million a month. The label is known for having artists and producers such as Dr. Dre, and Bone Thugs-n-Harmony. To date, Ruthless Records has sold more than 110 million records, not counting singles.
