The company mainly distributed the Phonogram labels Philips, Fontana, Mercury, Island, Vertigo, and Charisma. It also operated the JVC vinyl pressing plant in Yokohama until its closure in 1988. The company was renamed Mercury Music Entertainment Co. Ltd. circa 1995.
