Lava Music, LLC, a domestic limited liability company which currently owns the Lava imprint, is located in New York, NY and was formed on Oct 20, 2008. Original Lava founder Jason Flom then formed a partnership with then Universal Republic Records (UMG) and reclaimed the Lava imprint from Atlantic Records Group in early 2009.
