Annotation

Orchestral Manoeuvres In The Dark hit the big time in 1980 when second album ‘Organisation’ put the northwestern quartet in the UK Top 10. This vital snapshot of the band between the release of their eponymous first and breakthrough second albums shows why they were such an influence on Depeche Mode and others and remain a popular live act today. The early songs showcased here, notably ‘Electricity’ and ‘Enola Gay’, remain classics of the electro-pop genre.
