The textbook definition of a guilty pleasure.

I used to not believe in guilty pleasures. One should own up that they like the music they like, whether they're into pretentiously experimental harsh noise or the mainstream-iest of mainstream pop.

But this made me think otherwise.

It's a bland EDM song with very generic lyrics. It relies on the nostalgia of the song it's sampling by stripping it of its quirks, leaving only the melody then turning it into yet another generic party anthem. Alice Deejay's Better Off Alone got a much better treatment by Guetta than Blue. Even Bebe Rexha sounds bland here, and I'd say she does have a recognisable voice.

But at the same time, it's so catchy that when I'm in the mood for it, I can't stop listening. Maybe it's the use of Blue, which despite the nostalgia has an iconic lead melody whether you love or hate it, but this is something I do enjoy and am actually ashamed of enjoying.
