The Avalanches are celebrating the arrival of their and Modular's first born— Electricity (a very popular name these days). Conceived on their octagon waterbed/studio control pad, it is a woozy sample of their debut album due out in September.

It features four songs. ELECTRICITY, INFORMATION, LET'S CHEER, I'M TAKEN.

Only 1000 of this beautiful slab of plastic were pressed. You'd better hurry.

ENGLAND MARCHES TO THE BEAT OF THE AVALANCHES

The UK Undersea Community 10" vinyl (released on the REX label) is available now in Australia on import. It recieved 4/5 stars in UK's Muzik magazine. It is being played heavily on UK radio.

The REX label is also going to put out Electricity on 7" vinyl. An acetate was made for Norman Cook (Fatboy Slim) who loved it so much he played it in a live to air set across Europe.

Blushing from all the attention in England, the Avalanches are learning to speak English in preparation for an all out overseas bidding war........"
