Annotation

So here's an unusual thing: a release on a Scholz label (Stradivari) which gives a recording date and place for the recordings (see back cover). The artists are of course names often seen on Scholz recordings, but in this case are genuine performers too. The track lengths are not too different to those of the standard Scholz performances of the Eroica, but not close enough to merge with confidence (e.g. 14 sec for the second movement), and they have fingerprints which are not acoustically close to the standard Scholz performances.

Digitally recorded August, 1987 in Ljubljana, Yugoslavia using SONY PCM 1600 Series.
Recorded at the Cankar Concert Hall.
