The Eddie Chatterbox Double Trio Love Album

As the lengthy liner notes of this release explain, it was recorded by a group who wished to continue calling themselves "Camper Van Chadbourne," but at the time couldn't get permission to do so from Virgin Records, with which the band Camper Van Beethoven was currently under contract. Here is an excerpt:

...but because of legal difficulties we can't get too serious about the "Camper Van Chadbourne" name although the Chadbourne part is fine (Chadbourne owns Chadbourne after all), the Camper Van part is questionable unless you use it in an innocent context such as "I left the machine gun in the Camper" or "It sure smells like marijuana in this vehicle, boys, could you open up the back of your Van?"
However, the members of Camper Van Chadbourne are:

Dr. Eugene Chadbourne Gibson Marauder, Communist Harmonicas
Jonathan Segel Keyboard, Violin, Mandolin
Bruce Ackley Soprano Saxophone
Graham Connah Acoustic Piano
Victor Kummencher [sic] Happy Birthday Bass
Crispy Derson (Should we neglect this opportunity?) Drums

Three of the members listed (Jonathan Segel, Victor Krummenacher and Chris Pedersen) are members of Camper Van Beethoven, and all six are members of the original Camper Van Chadbourne, as featured on the self-titled Camper Van Chadbourne album.
