Annotation

Per the German Wikipedia, this release is a version of the opera known as the "Guiraud version," created by Ernest Guiraud. > http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hoffmanns_Erz%C3%A4hlungen#Diskographie_.28Auswahl.29
Follows the "alternate order" (Prologue-Olympia-Giulietta-Antonia-Epilogue) that is more recently being replaced by the original "Offenbach order." Only middle three acts are numbered, but that practice has also been recently updated.
