Where No Man Has Gone Before (original Star Trek title theme)
~ Bühnenmusik/Begleitmusik
Anmerkung
This is the Intro Theme for Star Trek: The Original Series (Originally aired under Star Trek in 1966).
The Song basicly splits in two Parts:
- The first Part is also ~25 Seconds long and was used in the series as a background for the voice-over Space: the final frontier. ... to boldly go where no man has gone before. Originally performed by William Shatner.
- The second Part is ~25 Seconds (instrumental) or ~35 Seconds (with soprano) long. In the first season of Star Trek it was Instrumental. In later seasons, and in the pilot film The Cage it was featuring a female soprano voice. Originally sung by Loulie Jean Norman.
The first part has been adopted multiple times for the Intro of main themes of later Star Trek Productions such as:
- The Main Theme of Star Trek: The Motion Picture
- The Main Theme of Star Trek: The Wrath of Kahn
- The Main Theme of Star Trek: The Next Generation
- The Main Theme of Star Trek: First Contact
- (incomplete)

Recordings
The recording used for the first season is is ~47 seconds long while the version of later seasons is ~1 minute long. The recordings released on the soundtracks are often longer and have a different ending.
At least the 2nd season version has been re-recorded in exactly the same arrangement, in 2006 for the remastered version of Star Trek.
