though associated with The Lion King franchise, this Zulu song wasn't part of the original 1994 film soundtrack, but was only first released in 1995 in Rhythm of the Pride Lands which featured songs inspired by the film. "Lea Halalela" later became the basis of "Shadowland" (with english lyrics), which is part of the stage musical introduced in 1997. in the musical, it is sung by Nala, the lionesses, and Rafiki.
