Debut ("Made in England", no sample credit, track 11 is 3:32)

~ Release by Björk (see all versions of this release, 28 available)

Annotation

Track 11 has a duration of 3:41 and is shorter than on the subsequent release and only has nine seconds of silence. There are many subtle variations of tplp 31 cdx which all share the same catalogue number and barcode.

3 known versions were manufactured by PDO UK, all with "Made in England" text on disc:
• A version without Antonio Carlos Jobim sample credit at the last page in booklet, and a track 11 duration of 3:32.
• A track 11 duration of 3:41, with a 9 seconds of silence (<-- the discID on this release)
• A version without Antonio Carlos Jobim sample credit at the last page in booklet, and a pre-gap of 1 minute silence on track 12, resulting in a length of 4:32 for track 11. (<-- Debut)
• A version including Antonio Carlos Jobim sample credit at the last page in booklet, and the silent pre-gap resulting in a length of 4:32 for track 11. (not yet on MB)

All releases from other manufacturers include the Antonio Carlos Jobim sample credit. Most (all?) of these versions were glassmastered by Nimbus, although MASTERED BY MAYKING or MASTERED BY DOCDATA was printed in the matrix. Early versions can still be identified by Nimbus' "version dots", later versions by SID codes. But discs from these glassmasters were pressed (and printed) at several other plants and thus there are versions with and without "Made in England" text on disc. It's not known if a pre-gap was included in one of these versions.
