Er is een roos ontsprongen (Dutch Catholic version of “Es ist ein Ros entsprungen”)

This is the Dutch Catholic version, with the title derived from the opening line of lyric, and there are at least two other Dutch lyric versions:
the Dutch Protestant version begins with "Er is een roos ontloken"
the Dutch Reformed version begins with "Een roze, frisch ontloken"
the lyrics of one or more of these were translated by Jan Wit.
